Colorful Easter

This tutorial was written for those who have a working knowledge of psp.

I use paint shop 9, but any version should work.

SUPPLIES NEEDED

Tube of choice.

I am using artwork by ZlataM. A PTU Artist. You must purchase and obtain a license to use her work. You can purchase her tubes  here.

Font of choice. 

Filters needed:

None

LET'S GET STARTED

Open a new image 600 x 600

Copy and paste frame. Re-size 75%.

Using you magic wand click inside of the frame. Selections-modify-expand by 6. Copy and paste paper of choice or paper I used which is paper 11. I re-sized mine 75% twice. Selections-invert-Delete. Move below frame, keep selected.

Copy and paste tube of choice. Move to the right side of the frame a bit. Duplicate and close off top tube layer. Make sure bottom tube layer is selected, hit delete. Select none. Unhide your top tube layer, in layers palette move it above the frame. Using your eraser tool erase the part of the tube you don't want showing outside of your frame.

Add a drop shadow to your frame and bottom tube layer. I used the settings 2/2 60-5 black.

Copy and paste the following elements or any or your choice to your liking or see my tag for my placement.

Glitter-move to bottom layer left of frame

Glitter2-bottom layer right of frame

Bombon-top layer-re-size place bottom left of frame

Bombon2-re-size smaller the bombon 1 place on top of bombon 1

Branch with flowers-place left side of frame, rotate a bit

Butterfly1, 2, and 3-re-size place along branch with flowers

Easter Chick-resize place beside bombon's

Easter basket-resize place bottom right side of frame

Bunnypop-re-size place under basket to the left of it, rotate a bit

Bunnypop2-re-size place beside bunnypop

Lollisick-re-size-place beside bunnypop2

Add dropshadow to each element.

Merge visible.

Add name or saying of choice. 

Add proper copyright info and save as .png

LET'S GET STARTED

Open template Shift D close the original. Delete credits, word art layers and background.

Instructions for coping and pasting. Activate the layer. Selections-select all-float-defloat-selections-invert, active paper or tube layer and hit delete.

Copy and paste desired papers into each layer.  Then delete the original layers. I used paper 5 for Big Circle Back. Paper 10 for square back. Paper 6 for Circle Back 1 and Circle Back 2.

This next part we will be doing for all of the frames. Using your magic wand click on one of the frames-selections-float-defloat-layers-new raster layer-flood fill with a color from your papers. Selections-select none. Adjust-add/remove noise-add noise-Gaussian-100%-monochrome checked. Add drop shadow to each frame, I used 2/2-60-5 and then again with -2/-2-60-5.

Next merge down the frames to the little circles, and the square so that we can move them. Next re-arrange them to your liking, or like mine in the preview.

Add tube of choice, place towards the bottom of the template. Add drop shadow of choice.

Copy and paste the following elements or any or your choice to your liking or see my tag for my placement.

Chick 2 and 4

Egg 1, 2 and 4

Flower 1 and 3

Lolli 1, 2, 3 and 4

Ribbon 3 and 4

Sheep

Add mask of choice.

Add name or saying of choice. I used Tagettes font-background null and forground #85ec2d, added a gradient glow and drop shadow.

Add proper copyright info and save as .png

Paper 3 for Big Round Circle, paper 5  re-size 105% for OblongCircle,  Paper 6  for BigRectangle. Paper 1 for Rectangle, I added a fat white gradient glow and drop shadow. 

Add tube of choice, place towards the left of the template. Add drop shadow of choice.

LET'S GET STARTED

Open template Shift D close the original. Delete Raster1. I always delete bg layer. 

Instructions for coping and pasting. Activate the layer. Selections-select all-float-defloat-selections-invert, active paper or tube layer and hit delete.

Copy and paste desired papers into each layer.  Then delete the original layers. Add drop shadow of choice to each paper layer. I used papers 18 for raster 9. Without deselecting mirror and paste your tube, hit delete. Change blend mode to Luminance(L)

Paper 4 for raster 3, paper 9  for raster4 and copy of raster 4. Paper 6  for raster 8 and copy of raster 8. Paper 14  for raster 7, paper 15 for raster 6, paper 13 for copy of raster 2, paper 17 for raster 2, paper 8 for raster 5 and copy of raster 5. On raster 10 add dsb flux-bright noise-mix-100%, add drop shadow of choice. Crop merged opaque. 

Add tube of choice, place towards the left of the template. Add drop shadow of choice.

LET'S GET STARTED

Open template Shift D close the original. Delete info layer and Layers 1,2,3 and shadowed layer. I always delete bg layer. Image-canvas size-re-size 800 X 800 centered. You can re-size later.

Instructions for coping and pasting. Activate the layer. Selections-select all-float-defloat-selections-invert, active paper or tube layer and hit delete.

Copy and paste desired papers into each layer.  Then delete the original layers. I used papers 2 re-sized 85% for layer 8.

Paper 6 re-size 85% for layer 7 and paper 5 re-sized 85% for layer 6. Paper 10 re-sized 85% for layer 5. Paper 4 re-sized 85% for layer 3 and paper7 for layer 4 no need to re-size.

Copy and paste close up tube into the circle and small square. Change blend mode of both to Luminance (L)

Next I copied and pasted my tube. Re-size to liking. Place between circle and small square. I paste my tube now so I can work around it with the extras. You can add now or later. Xero-porcelain

Copy and paste Charm1 re-size 65% place top right of template. Add drop shadow of choice.

Copy and paste skull3 re-size 30% place over top of charm. See my tag for placement. Add drop shadow of choice.

Copy and pasted ribbon 2. If using same tube place where it covers the bottom of tube where it is cut off. Add drop shadow of choice.

Copy and paste lollis re-size 70%. See my tag for placement. Add drop shadow of choice.

Copy and paste shoe2 re-size 50%. Bring to top. Place bottom left of template. See my tag for placement.

Copy and paste poison 1 re-size 60% place bottom right of template. Add drop shadow of choice.

Copy and paste bottle cap2 re-size 40% place top left of template. Add drop shadow of choice.

Copy and paste cocktail1 re-size 40% place beside poison bottle. Add drop shadow of choice.

Copy and paste sparkles 1. See my tag for placement.

Copy and paste glitter1. Send to bottom. Place left of template. Duplicate-mirror place middle of template-duplicate- place right of template. Merge all 3 down. Duplicate the merged layer and flip move down a bit. 

Crop. Re-size to your liking. I re-sized mine to 600x572.

Add name of choice. I used Cupid de Locke. Foreground null and background #7a0cb5. Size 72 then added a gradient glow and drop shadow .

Add proper copyright info and save as .png

LET'S GET STARTED

Open template Shift D close the original. Delete info layer and Square layers 1, 2, 3 and 4. I always delete bg layer. Image-canvas size-re-size 800 X 700 centered. We can re size later.

In your layers palette  click on Pink Rectangle. Selections-select all-float-defloat. Copy and paste paper4. Selections-invert-hit delete. Delete Pink rectangle layer.

In your layers palette click on Rec1. Selections-select all-float-defloat. Copy and paste paper2. Place to you liking. Selections-invert-hit delete. Delete Rec1 layer. Repeat for Rec2 layer.

In your layers palette click on RectangleLeft. Selections-select all-float-defloat. Copy and paste paper5. Place to you liking. Selections-invert-hit delete. Delete RectangleLeft layer. Repeat for RectangleRight.

In your layers palette click on RectangleUp. Selections-select all-float-defloat. Copy and paste paper6. Place to you liking. Selections-invert-hit delete. Delete RectangleUp. Repeat for RectangleDown.

In your layers palette click on PinkFrame.  Selections-select all-float-defloat. Layers new raster layer. Flood fill with color from your tube. Adjust-add noise. Gaussian 100% monochrome checked. Delete PinkFrame layer.

I then added a black gradient glow around each layer. I like mine to be bold. These are my settings. 

Copy and paste tube of choice place to the right side of template, re-size to your liking. Effects-xero-porcelain settings below. Then add drop shadow of choice.

Now add the elements. 

Copy and paste love poison-re-size 70%. Place to the left at the bottom. Add your drop shadow. 

Copy and paste cupcake-re-size 45%, place beside the love poison. Add your drop shadow.

Copy and paste cupcake2-re-size 40%, you may need to sharpen if it is blurry. Place beside the cupcake. Add your drop shadow.

Copy and paste HeartSkull-re-size 40%. Layers duplicate. See my tag for placement of each. Add your drop shadow.

Copy and paste Ribbon3-re-size 70%. Image-flip. Place behind the love potion. Add your drop shadow.

Copy and paste Ribbon2-re-size 80%. Place middle of template, below all layers except your paper layer4, which was the pink rectangle layer. Add your drop shadow.

Copy and paste Lolli-re-size 50%. Place behind cupcakes. Image-rotate-right 25%, all layers unchecked. Layers-duplicate-image-mirror. Move beside the other lolli. Add your drop shadow.

Copy and paste bear-re-size 80%, place beside lolli and your main tube, see my tag for placement. Add your dropshadow.

Copy and paste bottlecap-re-size 60%, place upper left of template. Add your drop shadow.

Copy and paste lovedemon-re-size 80% place lower right side of template, beside your main tube. Add your dropshadow.

Add mask of choice. Crop. Re-size to your liking. I re-sized mine to 600x546.

Add name of choice. I used DJB Curlie Wurlie. Foreground null and background #a96da6. Size 72 then added same gradient glow and drop shadow as before.

Add proper copyright info and save as .png
